For Selling Small Quantities

* Selling Directly to a Market Trader

Find a stand where objects similar to yours are sold. This will draw customers looking for the similar type of item you want to sell. In addition, the trader might offer you a better price than others

* Go Early

Approach the trader while the market is still quiet. Serious customers also come in early to get good bargains.

* Pack Carefully

If you don't manage to sell at the first stand, make sure you pack your assets carefully before you go on to the next stall.

For Selling Larger Quantities

*Taking a stand

If you have a considerable quantity of suitable goods to sell, you might want to take a stand in a local antiques fair.

* Contact Fair Organisers

Organisers will be able to tell you the procedure for their event. Do so at the earliest as there may be a waiting list.

* Be Prepared to Pay a Deposit

The deposit or full amount might be demanded upfront. Hiring a stand will probably involve a deposit or payment up front if competition for spaces is fierce.

* Place your Stall Close to Another Stall Selling Similar Items

Doing so will attract more visitors to your stall.
